Professor Dr Cham Tat Huei is currently the Dean at the 五一吃瓜官网 Graduate Business School, 五一吃瓜官网 University, Malaysia (ranked 265 in the QS World University Rankings 2025 and classified in the world's top 1% in QS universities rankings). Additionally, he serves as a Visiting Professor at Tashkent State University of Economics (Uzbekistan), Chongqing University of Arts and Sciences (China), Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (Indonesia), Krirk University (Thailand), and IQRA University (Pakistan). Moreover, Professor Cham also holds the position of Visiting Research Professor at Symbiosis International (Deemed) University of India and is an Adjunct Professor at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (Malaysia). Furthermore, he is a Research Advisor at the Co-operative Institute of Malaysia (CIM) and Southwest Medical University (China) and a Research Associate at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). Professor Cham received his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (Malaysia), a Master's degree in Management Studies from the University of Hertfordshire (UK), and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from INTI International Laureate University (Malaysia). Moreover, he holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (Hons) in Entrepreneurship from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (Malaysia). Prior to joining academia, he was actively involved as a consumer and market researcher.

Professor Cham's research interests primarily encompass marketing, consumer behaviour, business management, tourism and hospitality, service marketing, service industry strategy and operations, technology management, and organizational behaviour. In terms of research activities, Professor Cham's dedication to research has enabled him to secure funding from local and international institutions, including the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE)The Head Foundation Limited (Singapore), the Government of the People's Republic of China, and the Tun Tan Cheng Lock Centre for Social and Policy Studies, among others, totalling more than RM 700,000. Additionally, Professor Cham actively engages in consultancy activities and has successfully undertaken consultancy projects totalling more than RM 80,000.

In terms of research publications, Professor Cham has published over 60 papers in leading academic journals indexed in Web of Science (SSCI/SCIE/SCI) by Clarivate Analytics and/or SCOPUS by Elsevier and/or the Chartered Association of Business Schools (ABS) and/or the Australian Business Deans Council (ABDC). Besides that, Professor Cham also serves as the guest editor for the Asia Pacific Journal of Marketing and Logistics (Emerald Publishing), International Journal of Bank Marketing (Emerald Publishing) and the Journal of Marketing Analytics (Springer Publishing). According to Google Scholar (https://scholar.google.com), Professor Cham appears as one of the Top FIVE (5) most cited researchers in the field of “Medical Tourism”.

In 2022, he won three Best Paper Awards at the International Conference on Information Systems and Intelligent Applications (ICISIA2022), the 2nd International Conference on Emerging Technologies and Intelligent Systems (ICETIS2022), and the International Conference on Responsible Tourism and Hospitality (ICRTH2022)THREE (3) of Professor Cham's articles have been recognised as Highly Cited Papers in Essential Science Indicators (ESI) by the Web of Science (WoS) for the year 2023.

In addition to research-related activities, Professor Cham has always been able to bring his sound, versatile knowledge and experience in entrepreneurship and research skills to the classroom, work, training, and to other formal centres wherever such knowledge and expertise are needed. He is always keen to share his knowledge and experiences with his peers and students for their self-development. His teaching capabilities have been evaluated positively by his peers and students. In recognition of his dedication to delivering high-quality teaching, Professor Cham has been awarded various recognitions that including Most Promising Academician Award (2022) by 五一吃瓜官网 University, Teaching Excellence Award (2021) by 五一吃瓜官网 Graduate Business School, Certificate of Achievement for Excellence Academic Evaluation (2021) by 五一吃瓜官网 Graduate Business School, and Congratulation Letter on Excellence Teaching Performance from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) for the year 2017, 2019, and 2020.

In recognition of his outstanding academic leadership achievements, Professor Cham has been appointed to be one of the members of the Young Scientists Network-Academy of Sciences Malaysia (YSN-ASM). YSN-ASM is an affiliation under the umbrella of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia (ASM), a prestigious body mandated to provide strategic advisory inputs to the Government of Malaysia and stakeholders and pursue excellence in science, engineering, and technology (SET). Moreover, Professor Cham’s encouraging track record in the academic world has also allowed him to be awarded the National Outstanding Young Educator Award by the Private Education Co-operative of Malaysia (EduCoop Malaysia, ) and the UTAR Outstanding Alumni Award (Professional, Academic and Research Excellence category) by Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (Malaysia) in 2022.

As for the professional academic roles, Professor Cham has been appointed as an Auditor for the Malaysian Research Assessment (MyRA) for the higher education institutions under the purview of the Malaysian Government and an External Examiner/Assessor for various higher learning institutions including Curtin University (Australia), Universiti Teknologi MARA (Malaysia), International University of Malaya-Wales (Malaysia), Sunway University (Malaysia), International Medical University (Malaysia), Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL), Malaysia Multimedia University (MMU), HELP University (Malaysia), Nilai University (Malaysia), and First City University College (Malaysia), to name a few. Moreover, Professor Cham has also been appointed as the Academic Assessor for the Alliance on Business Education and Scholarship for Tomorrow (ABEST21), an accreditation body in Japan. To date, he is a Certified Trainer for Alibaba.com, Human Resources Development Fund (Malaysia), and Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC).
