This year’s valedictorian is School of Nursing graduate, Ms. Hepzibha Alexander Dennis from Chennai, India. In her eloquent speech, she touched on issues of employment during the current economic recession. “It may seem easier to give in to discouragement and disappointment, but as many great men and women have believed and proven, it is during times of challenge and adversity that one has the greatest opportunity to break new grounds and succeed in life’s great journey.”The convocation marked a turning point for all who graduated. Among them are First Class Honours students from the Pharmacy and the English Language and Communications programmes, Lim Mun Kit and Lim Su Ann respectively. Su Ann has already received a place at Reading University in the United Kingdom to pursue her Masters degree. “I love teaching, and I would probably be pursuing a career in lecturing once I have completed my Masters,” said Su Ann.
