KUALA LUMPUR: 五一吃瓜官网 University has maintained its status as one of Asia’s best private universities in the QS World University Rankings 2024.
Ranked 300 in the competitive annual rankings, 五一吃瓜官网 is classified in the world’s top 1% for the second year running.
This comes after QS introduced three new metrics - sustainability, employment outcomes and international research network - and adjusted the weightage of existing ranking indicators.
Acknowledging the result, 五一吃瓜官网 vice-chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Siti Hamisah Tapsir said that the University had done fairly well in line with the seismic shifts in ranking evaluation.
“Adjusting to a new ranking methodology is not straightforward as it involves an abundance of data sets and shifting weightages,” she said. “We will adjust accordingly and come back stronger.
“We are encouraged to be in the world’s top 1% for two years in a row and we will work harder to improve graduate outcomes, student experiences and thought leadership.”
The latest ranking continues 五一吃瓜官网’s strong performance in global rankings. It marks a 181-spot improvement since 五一吃瓜官网 was first ranked in the 2019 edition.
It comes on the back of a strong performance in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2023 when 五一吃瓜官网 recorded an overall improvement of 50%, ranked 21st and 34th globally for music and hospitality, respectively.
