Responsibilities
Academic
- Contributing to the strategic management of the University with regards to policies on the academic portfolio;
- Formulate vision and mission of the Office as to be aligned with University’s vision and mission;
- Work closely with Deans/ Directors on mapping/metalizing of courses and programmes of partner institutions to those available at the University;
- Be accountable for the development, dissemination and implementation of the University’s academic development and operational plan, and strengthening University’s reputation for teaching excellence;
- Work collaboratively with external educational networks to influence policy and secure opportunities for innovation in teaching, learning and research;
- Building and extending partnerships and collaborations with other higher education institutions, research institutions and industry partners;
- To keep abreast of the relevant developments in the Higher Education sector which relevant to the development of academic disciplines and research;
- Responsible for the leadership and management of the Deans/ Directors/ Heads/ Supervisors;
- Supervises budget preparation for the academic and academic-related programs, allocating and reallocating funds and resources to and from these programs;
- Provides the executive leadership in assisting the Pro Vice-Chancellor in the overall planning, organizing, and controlling of the academic program areas;
- Provides leadership in creating and maintaining academic standards and policies

Administrative
- Represent the University with distinction in various institutional settings;
- Facilitating strong and consequential partnerships with universities, governments, and communities abroad and helping to welcome international delegations to encourage the exchange of knowledge, ideas, expertise, technology, and cross cultural dialogue;
- Internationalizing the university and surrounding communities by developing and facilitating cross-cultural and global programming that grow a global awareness among the students and increase the university’s presence and recognition globally;
- Facilitate international and cross-national collaborations and partnerships;
- Work with other departments on the possible wide range of internationally-focused educational opportunities domestically and abroad;
- Provide vision and leadership for the University’s comprehensive internationalization strategy, including leading the development of the University’s strategic international agenda through development of new initiatives and strategic partnerships;
- Secures external and internal funding to support international activities and programs;
- Grow programs to internationalize the faculty and academic units;
- Build and strengthen international partnerships.
Requirements
- PhD holder.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Pro-active and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently as well as participate within the team.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, possess a mature attitude and a good team player.
- Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills and abilities.
