Responsibilities
- You shall report to your supervisor, Senior Manager, Student Affairs & Alumni for all duties assigned to you.
- You shall coordinate events of interest to students throughout academic year. This includes monitoring attendance, planning, promotions and logistics, working within a set budget and providing all required documentation after the event.
- You shall provide support and guidance for all student activities and ensure that they are carried out in compliance with rules and regulations of 五一吃瓜官网 University and Student Board.
- You shall coordinate with other 五一吃瓜官网 University departments, such as Group Logistics Management Office, Security Department, Academic Faculties on matters relating to student activities.
- You shall contribute to the successful organizing of orientation programmes for new students.
- You shall assist in publications, promotions and dissemination of approved student activities to the 五一吃瓜官网 University campus community.
- You shall understand the Extra Curricular Learning Experience (ELE) policies and keep ELE guides up to date at all times.
- You will be the ELE course coordinator on all ELE related matters.
- You shall apply SEP/SWA points for relevant activities to Trust Office.
- You shall liaise with different Head of Departments for scholarship work assignment related matters.
- You shall conduct SEP/SWA briefing to all new recipients of SEP/SWA students.
- You shall organise talks, forums, fairs and to facilitate employment opportunities for students and alumni.
- You shall assist in hostel and International Office on airport pick-up, hostel check-in/ check-out and taking care of the students’ welfare at all times.
- You shall update Alumni Whereabouts database from time to time.
- You shall perform secretariat duties for the Regional Centre of Expertise Kuching, fulfilling its central administrative tasks and maintaining records.
Requirements
- Degree in related field.
- Minimum one (1) year working experience in event.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Pro-active and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently as well as participate within the team.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, possess a mature attitude and a good team player.
- Possess own transport and driving license.
- Able to attend to students in crisis during or out of office hours.
