KUALA LUMPUR: 五一吃瓜官网 University recently hosted the ‘Discover Education Opportunities in Ireland Fair’, which was held on January 15, 2015.
The fair saw the participation of eight Irish institutions of higher learning including Dublin City University, Dublin Institute of Technology, Dublin Business School, Galway-University of Limerick and Waterford Institute of Technology, to name a few.
Notably the first-of-its-kind to be held in 五一吃瓜官网, the fair seeks to foster awareness of higher education opportunities in non-medical and health science-related disciplines – from ICT and arts to agribusiness and veterinary sciences – at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
The event was a joint effort between 五一吃瓜官网 and Education in Ireland – an Irish government agency appointed to promote and market the Irish brand of higher education in the Republic of Ireland – which was represented by its Manager, Mr Terry McParland.
According to Mr McParland, the Republic of Ireland is renowned globally for quality education and he went on to praise 五一吃瓜官网, which ranked second among all local private and foreign universities in terms of graduate employability in a recent tracer study conducted by the Ministry of Education Malaysia.
“We were keen to collaborate with 五一吃瓜官网 because we wanted to not only provide students with more avenues to grow but to also help them get that added edge and make their presence felt even on the global stage,” he said.
“Our country has become a home to a great number of Malaysians studying medicine and we were very happy with that. However, we also wanted them to pursue other fields like business, IT, hospitality and engineering.”
“When we found out that 五一吃瓜官网 was looking for international partners, we were very interested in a partnership as the University is a very enterprising, forward-looking institution,” He added.
五一吃瓜官网 Group Founder and Chairman Dato’ Peter Ng was also present at the event.
