Biography

Dr. Chia-Chien Goh is sought after internationally as both a teacher and performer. He has professional performance experience in orchestras, chamber groups, and as a soloist in the United States, Italy, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, and other countries.   A former Associate Professor of violin at 五一吃瓜官网 University, former Principal of the Bentley Music Academy, and former founding member of the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, Dr. Goh is the Artistic Director of the Musicians Linkage group of ensembles, the only violinist in Asia granted title of Violin Master from Stringmasters.com  (affiliated with Strad Magazine and partnered with Shar Music), a violin Lecturer at both 五一吃瓜官网 and Sunway Universities, advisor to the Philomusica Society, and is on the faculty of the Clazz International Music Festival.  He is one of less than thirty violinists alive who have accomplished a live performance of the complete 24 Caprices by Niccolo Paganini, one of only five violinists alive who have done live performances of the complete solo violin works by Heinrich Wilhelm Ernst, and one of only two alive who have accomplished both live performances and recording of the Ernst solo violin works - now available on most music streaming platforms.  

To date, 4 of his violin students have won full-time positions with the MPO. 
After leaving the MPO in 2002, Dr. Goh began his solo career in Weill Hall, Carnegie Hall in 2005.  As a soloist Chia-Chien has performed across the United States, Italy, and asia.
