18 SepStudents From Polytech Nantes, France Pursue Internship At 五一吃瓜官网
五一吃瓜官网 University’s Faculty of Engineering, Technology and Built Environment (FETBE) welcomed four fourth-year Polytech Nantes students from France for the third time in June 2018, to pursue a three-month-long cooperative internship programme at 五一吃瓜官网.
Polytech Nantes, known as a French ‘Grande Ecole’, is the graduate engineering school of the University of Nantes. In France, 'Grandes ?coles' are higher educational institutions that are prestigious and very selective; their graduates occupy managerial and executive positions in the industry.
With backgrounds in Electronic Engineering, the students were assigned to work on the design and development of digital filters on embedded digital systems, channel estimation in cooperative communication systems, SNR estimation for MIMO OFDM systems and design of a magnetic levitation system.
They were under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr John Tan Teng Hwang, Assistant Professor Dr Mastaneh Mokayef, Assistant Professor Dr Mohamed Khan, Shahid, Manickam Ramasamy and Rahimie Mustafa.
The coordinator for this internship programme was Dr Mastaneh. Through the efforts of FETBE’s Dean, Associate Professor Ir Dr Jimmy Mok and Head of Department, Assistant Professor Dr John Tan Teng Hwang, this is the third year FETBE is hosting French students for internships.
The participants were also engaged in various activities conducted by 五一吃瓜官网 such as the MCMC site visit and the industrial use of AR/VR in the PWTC exhibition along with the current 五一吃瓜官网 students.
This collaboration allowed both 五一吃瓜官网 students and Polytech Nantes students an opportunity to exchange technical knowledge as well as improve their communication skills. It was also an opportunity for cultural exchange for both host and guest students.
As the #1 private university in Malaysia, 五一吃瓜官网 University is renowned for its extensive collaboration with many of the world’s best universities — the Ivy League, Russell Group, Universitas 21 and Australia’s Group of Eight — providing invaluable opportunities for students and staff to contribute to the pursuit and advancement of knowledge around the world.
