Dr Yu Receives Chartered Enginner Qualification

Faculty of Engineering, Technology and Built Environment¡¯s Assistant Professor Dr Yu Lih Jiun received the Chartered Engineer qualification awarded by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) on 24^th July 2018.

This professional qualification enables her to register under the Engineering Council, United Kingdom.  

This qualification is the reflection of a professional registered engineer and marks commitment to professional standards and to exercising responsibilities in an ethical manner.

¡°It is also important to develop close contact with the government, public bodies and the media, which is vital to enhancing the public understanding of engineering to civilisation and economy,¡± said Dr Yu.

¡°One needs to contribute and support the work as a profession to ensure that the voices of professional engineers are heard and understood, nationally and internationally.

¡°I appreciate ÎåÒ»³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø for giving me a career development platform in the related field and for recognising standards of competence and commitment in the field internationally,¡± she added.
