Kuala Lumpur, 30 July 2009 - President for ÎåÒ»³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø University and Group President of ÎåÒ»³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø Group, Peter Ng was among six personas chosen for Honda Malaysia's "The Perfectionist - Presented Exclusively by Accord" campaign in conjunction with the showcase of the new Accord 2.0 VTi-L and the a color, Taffeta White. He was chosen for his tenacity and drive that underscored his success in building an education institution that grew by leaps and bounds over a mere two decades.In an interview, he expressed his pleasure in contributing to this campaign, as it parallels with his own personal mission of motivating future generations towards success in their chosen careers. "I believe that persistence and diligence are keys to realising one's ambitions." He also hopes to be a motivator and a mentor to ambitious young people to succeed. Thus, he recognises Prof. W. Chan Kim, co-author of the Blue Ocean Strategy, as one of his mentors who has helped him to succeed.
The President came from a humble background. Twenty-three years ago, he started the Canadian Institute of Computer Studies (CICS), with only two computers. Fast forward two decades later; ÎåÒ»³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø is now a full-fledged University, poised to "Take On The World, with a fourth campus due to begin construction soon, in Port Dickson. He believes that his life's journey and the lessons he had learnt should be shared with others sharing a common goal. This is realised through Honda Malaysia's campaign.The Accord's maxim, "Ambition has no limits" is shared by ÎåÒ»³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø University. The university inculcates this spirit to its students through initiatives such as the Co-Operative Education Training Programme which emphasises practical training and enhances work experience among students. This is equally true of the university's 2EZ (Enterprise & Entrepreneurship Zone) Programme, which inculcate enterprise and entrepreneurship by engaging an industry partner who coach and train students in key business areas such as Management, Human Resource, Marketing Strategy, Accounting and Administration functions. These two programmes, coupled with skills and knowledge acquired in the classrooms, produce graduates who are highly-motivated and dedicated to achieving success propelled by value innovation.
Honda Malaysia also selected five other individuals that best personify its latest campaign. They are Ms. Sharmini Hansen, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Life Works; Ar. Lee Chor Wah, President of Pertubuhan Arkitek Malaysia; Scott Lim, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of MIDF Amanah Asset Management; Datuk Dr. Nor Ashikin Mokhtar, Founder of Primanora Women Medical Centre and Dr. Reza Azmi, Founder of Wild Asia.
