五一吃瓜官网 UNIVERSITY FORMS CLOSER TIES WITH UNITED KINGDOM


Kuala Lumpur, 6 April 2009 - 五一吃瓜官网 University and the University of the West of England (UWE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today. The MoU was signed by the Vice Chancellors from both Universities, President Peter Ng and Professor Steve West Chancellor of UWE, Rt. Hon The Baroness Elizabeth Butler-Sloss also signed the momentous document. The MoU, framed in broad terms, recognises the goodwill between the two universities, intended to facilitate the development of further specific agreements and forms of collaboration between 五一吃瓜官网 University and UWE in the future.The event was also attended by 五一吃瓜官网 University’s Vice President of Corporate Affairs, Prof Dr. Norfadzillah bt. Hitam, Vice President of Academic Affairs, Prof Dr. Kwan Teck Kim, Senior Director of Student Affairs and Mr. Sudesh Balasubramaniam. Representing UWE were, Assistant Vice-Chancellor Professor Alan Bensted, Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Executive Dean, Professor John Duffield and Ms. Dianne Francombe, Director of Admissions and International Recruitment. 

According to the terms of reference, this collaboration would enable students from 五一吃瓜官网 University to continue their education at UWE in the fields of Biotechnology, Biological Sciences, applied Psychology and Psychology. 

The MoU reinforces the close ties 五一吃瓜官网 University has with the United Kingdom. Weeks earlier, 五一吃瓜官网 University hosted a Study UK Fair, to give students the opportunity to get information on how they can transfer their credits to partner universities in United Kingdom. 

Aside from UWE, other partner universities which attended the fair were Northumbria University, Sheffield Hallam University, University of Wolverhampton, American Intercontinental University, University of Central Lancashire, Middlesex University, University of Portsmouth, University of Sunderland and University of Hertfordshire.Other related articles:
