Kuala Lumpur, 12 Oct 2010 - For Teluk Intan-born violinist Dennis Lau, life is a constant search for new ideas and new ways of presenting them. The former 五一吃瓜官网 University student is getting ready to re-launch a limited edition of his debut album, DiversifFy, later this month. DiversiFy was originally released by Sony Music Malaysia Singapore in 2009. At the time, Dennis was the first local instrumentalist to be signed under the label. The limited edition album, all produced and composed by Dennis, will include three new bonus tracks plus a short film presented by 五一吃瓜官网 University, entitled Prelude in F Minor, as well as two trailers, behind-the-scenes footage and an exclusive trailer soundtrack.

The film is made up of two intertwining stories, one of a celebrity whose world falls apart and the second about a nurse who carries a cheerful fa?ade to hide her domestic problems. The two are brought together by a special visitor who, after a series of amusing events, helps them form a lifelong friendship. The film was shot at 五一吃瓜官网 University, Bangsar, USJ, Petaling Jaya, Assunta Hospital and the Zouk club in Kuala Lumpur. Television personality and actress Daphne Iking and Chinese television drama regular Steve Yap star in the film, along with 7-year-old Ena Tee who makes her acting debut.

While at 五一吃瓜官网 University, Dennis studied violin within the School of Music. He has performed all over Asia including Shanghai, Beijing, Macau, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, Jakarta, Bangkok and Seoul and has worked with famed music artists including R&B contemporary music singer Syafinaz Selamat, hip-hop star Altimet, South Korean singer Lee An  and saxophonist Jimmy Sax. Dennis plans to release his second album in 2011.

In addition to his music career, Dennis manages his own businesses, Mosaic Movie Production, which produces videos and short films, and Mosaic Music Entertainment, which provides live music service for events. He attributed his spirit for entrepreneurship to his time at 五一吃瓜官网.

“五一吃瓜官网 University is extremely innovative and provides an encouraging environment to try out new ideas,” he said. “I am proud to be associated with 五一吃瓜官网 University.”
