The curriculum combines theoretical knowledge with practical training. Students will experience clinical rotations in hospitals, birthing centres and community settings to gain hands-on experience under supervision. The programme covers topics such as pharmacology in obstetrics, advanced maternal-fetal medicine, neonatal care and reproductive during pregnancy and childbirth.
Students will gain specialised knowledge by learning advanced clinical skills related to prenatal care, labour and delivery and postpartum care. This includes managing complications during childbirth and providing care to both the mother and the newborn.
Academic Requirements
Local candidates (Female only):
- Possess a diploma in Nursing from a recognised institution by the Malaysia Nursing Board.
- Registered with the Malaysia Nursing Board.
- Possess a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) for nurses from the Malaysia Nursing Board.
- Minimum of two (2) years of clinical working experience.
International candidates (Female only):
- Possess a diploma in Nursing from a recognised institution by the Malaysia Nursing Board.
- Registered with the Nursing Council of the country of origin.
- Minimum of two (2) years of clinical working experience.
- Possess a current Temporary Practicing Certificate (TPC) from the Malaysia Nursing Board before clinical placement.
