Overview
This programme is structured to equip students with the economic reasoning, quantitative skills and institutional knowledge required to provide solutions to financial problems. The dual emphasis of this course will expose students to a wide variety of decision-making processes... and strategic considerations they will need as financial economists, enabling them to make more informed financial decisions.

Examinations, projects, and assignments will be used to assess students. Students must complete a dissertation course in their last year. Internships will also be required for students to build career-related skills that will shape them into effective practitioners.
Academic Requirements

Minimum CGPA of 2.5 and pass SPM (or any equivalent qualification) with credit in Mathematics and pass in English.
STPM
C+ (CGPA 2.33) in any 2 subjects; and pass SPM with credit in Mathematics and pass in English.

Minimum 5 credits (B6) and pass in Mathematics and English
?National Matriculation/Foundation
Minimum CGPA of 2.5 and pass SPM inclusive of credit in Mathematics and pass in English.

Canadian Pre-U
Minimum average of 60% in 6 subjects
AUSMAT/HSC/SACE/TEE/WACE
ATAR score 60% OR minimum 60% average in 5 subjects
Other qualifications deemed equivalent to STPM/A-Level by Malaysian Qualifications Agency
Minimum overall average of 60%
Any qualification equivalent to Diploma in Finance, Banking, Insurance or related field (Level 4, MQF)

The credit requirement for Mathematics and pass in English at SPM level for the candidate with STPM or Matriculation/Foundation qualification can be waived should the qualifications contain Mathematics and English subjects with equivalent/higher achievement.

8.5- International applicants who do not meet the respective academic programme’s English Language Requirements will need to improve their proficiency by enrolling into the English for Tertiary Education programme (R/KJP/00920-00929).
- Placement into the various levels of the English for Tertiary Education programme depends on the English Language qualification students have at the point of admission and/or the outcome of the English Placement Test.
- The applicants who have met the respective academic programme’s English Language Requirement may be advised by Faculty to improve their proficiency by undertaking additional English proficiency courses.
