
Overview
The Graduate Certificate in Aesthetic Assistant with Wellness combines the two fields of aesthetic assistantship and wellness into one programme designed to equip graduates with the necessary knowledge and skills to pursue careers in the aesthetics and wellness industries. This programme promotes evidence-based practices in aesthetics and provides exposure to recent advances in wellness. Graduates will receive training in aesthetic assistantship skills and entrepreneurship in both fields. Collaborations with Aesthetic clinics and wellness centres keep the programme up-to-date, equipping our graduates with the skills and knowledge to accelerate growth in their career paths.
Academic Requirements
Pass Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum of Grade C (GPA 2.0) in Biology and one (1) science subject, or its equivalent AND two (2) years of working experience; OR
A CGPA of 2.0 and above in Diploma in Allied Health Sciences or Biomedical Sciences or Medical Technology or any equivalent diploma from an educational institution recognised by the University and Government of Malaysia AND two (2) years of working experience.
English Language Requirements
As the programme’s medium of instruction is English, students must possess one of the following qualifications:

Minimum band of 3.5Note: Candidates who fail to fulfil the above criteria may be required to take an English Proficiency Course at the University.
International applicants who do not meet the respective academic programme’s English Language Requirement will need to improve their proficiency by enrolling into the English for Tertiary Education programme (R/KJP/00920-00929) which helps them prepare for attaining a required band score. Placement into the various levels of the English for Tertiary Education programme depends on the English Language qualification students have at the point of admission and/or the outcome of the English Placement Test.
English Language Course Exemption:
Applicants from the countries where English is the primary language may be exempted from taking English classes at 五一吃瓜官网 University. Applicants pursuing Bachelor's or Master's degrees at other universities where English is the medium of instruction may be exempt from taking English classes at 五一吃瓜官网 University, provided the Registrar of their alma mater issues an official letter confirming this exemption.

- Aesthetic medical assistants assist doctors and aestheticians with procedures, prepare patients, manage records, schedule appointments, maintain hygiene and educate patients on post-treatment care.
- Skincare specialists provide a variety of facial and body treatments to enhance clients' appearance and well-being, working primarily in spas, salons or wellness centres.
- Medical spa assistants handle administrative tasks, manage patient records, schedule appointments, prepare treatment rooms and provide patient care and support before and after treatments.
- Centre managers oversee daily operations, ensure high standards of patient care, manage staff and drive business growth and profitability.
- Aesthetic and wellness entrepreneurs identify market opportunities, create innovative service offerings and manage business operations.
