- To create a learning environment and learning community for all students.
- To recognise and develop students as core participants in a learning community who are actively engaged as learners in pursuit of scholarship and graduate attributes.
- To provide and sustain education within a well-organised, active and co-operative learning community within the ecology of scholarship where the social nature of learning is understood, suitably resourced and administered both on and off campus, including curricular and extra-curricular learning activities.
- To sustain a learning community for students – together with academic, administrative and support staff, alumni and external stakeholders, including employers – where all are regarded as active members who participate as partners in supporting the learning processes, to pursue lifelong learning and making connections across areas of knowledge and subject disciplines as well as with the wider world, to sustain each other in the creation, deployment, advancement and dissemination of knowledge through study, enquiry and research.
